Prevention Services Available

A number of prevention services are provided through the CDATF local drugs strategy.  These are provided through local community addiction projects, youth services or by CDATF itself.  Further details can be accessed by clicking on the tabs below.

  • CDATF Prevention Worker

The CDATF Prevention Officer plays a key role across a number of prevention and education initiatives in Clondalkin.  This involves working closely with schools to provide comprehensive support to pupils, parents and professionals within each school community.  The prevention officer also plays an important role in bringing together prevention stakeholders in the area and has been working with the CDATF Community Reps Forum to support and facilitate them.

  • Crosscare Clondalkin and Ronanstown

The Clondalkin Crosscare Prevention Workers are funded through the CDATF to support the roll out of comprehensive evidence-based prevention programmes in schools in the catchment area. They also work with young people in youth services in Clondalkin Village and Ronanstown in a preventative capacity.

  • Carline Centre – Social Care Workers

CDATF provides funding for two social care workers in the Carline Centre. The Carline Learning Centre is an education centre based in Lucan which caters for young people aged 13-17 years old, excluded from or no longer attending mainstream education.
